We stumbled upon John Atkinson’s images awhile back, and posted a few on our Facebook Page, but there seem to be so many, we decided to show you all of them in a blog post. Enjoy.Posted April 30, 2013
Let’s be honest. We all want our data to be private, never shared with the world and marketers in particular. We make sure to always skip the box in every registration process that voluntarily offers our contact details to strangers, yet when it comes to Facebook privacy, our diligence fades. When asked, we are always convinced that Zuck is not really hot on protecting our personal data, yet ourselves we don’t do much about it, even though we have all the tools necessary .Posted April 30, 2013
Today I stumbled upon a new blog post from the expert on Facebook stats and all awesome geeky things, Stephen Wolfram. You may have heard of Wolfram Alpha, personal analytics for Facebook data, but if you haven’t yet, it’s something you should definitely check out. It’s free and in minutes (be patient as it’s not speed-of-light-fast) it tells you all you ever wanted to know about your network of friends. It gives you up-to-date picture of the location where majority of your connections are based, the words you like using in your posts, the most connected people in your network and many, many interesting details. Motivational speaker Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with, so why not take a closer look at the network of people we surround ourselves with?Posted April 26, 2013
Even though the Spring is with us for a while now, it’s only recently that the Sun is actually out and it feels like the weather matches the season. With that came the Spring cleaning time, but this year on top of windows and garden, I decided there is something else I would like to clean up: my Facebook News Feed.
With the new, improved customisable news feed that is being rolled out this year, now it’s a great time to get your feed under control.Posted April 25, 2013
With all the extra publicity and new followers that a hacker with a sense of humor can bring to our profile, lets make this clear from the start: no one wants to have their Twitter account hacked. Regardless of many posts and blogs giving us tips on how not to get our online profiles compromised, we seem to be getting attacked more than ever. The beginning of the year was surely an entertaining time for social hackers, who managed to get access to some of the most prominent accounts on Twitter, bringing traffic and new followers to brands like Jeep and Burger King, but for all the wrong reasons.Posted April 24, 2013
So You got on the startup bandwagon, spend the last year or so coding the ultimate photo sharing app or something equally life changing and after spending every given moment with what can now easily be called your baby, you want to introduce the product to the world. Your friends and family love it. Everyone is very supportive, and all the pre-signups you got from betali.st made you feel as if you are creating something worthwhile. Maybe are you already playing spreadsheet millionaire and think of an answer to the inevitable question that you are convinced is soon going to come from the mouth of Andreessen or Horowitz: How much for your company?
You managed to secure an exclusive from Tech Crunch, and if you are lucky, the launch at the SXSW will go smoothly. But then something happens. People warned you about it, but you never expected it to happen; your product to get bad reviews. You worked so hard to get to where you are, why is this happening??Posted April 23, 2013
There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind by now, that trying to solve your problems relating to service, providers can be much quicker and more effective when you tweet about it, than when you spend hours being put on hold, listening to last years music hits.Posted April 23, 2013
Having your Twitter account hijacked is unfortunately a common occurrence these days. You have probably experience strange looking direct messages from your contacts before. They supposedly advertise slimming pills and Viagra, but you know for a fact they are over 400 Ibs and didn’t have a girlfriend since high school. Is this for real?!Posted April 22, 2013
Over the last few months a number of Facebook users have noticed a reoccurring pattern of photo albums “disappearing” from their account.
It seems to coincide with the maintenance work from Facebook engineers and is said to be only temporary, and we are prompted to wait few hours for the issue to disappear.Posted April 17, 2013
Thank You for patiently sticking with us through the transition period, while we were changing, tinkering, adding and improving things, all thanks to your feedback over the recent months.
We are pretty overwhelmed with all the positive press and e-mails we have received, so with this first post I would like to say a massive THANK YOU for spending time writing to and about us.Posted April 17, 2013
