Rachel King was a teacher at Grover Cleveland Elementary School in Philadelphia. According to her Facebook bio, King began working at Mastery Schools in 2014.

Furthermore, Rachel was loved by many, and she was quite popular in her school. Likewise, she was devoted to her family.

She taught history to seventh- and eighth-graders at Grover Cleveland Mastery Charter School in Tioga. Moreover, King’s name came into the spotlight after she was shot to death on April 11, 2023, in Cheltenham Township, Pa.

Rachel King Was Shot to Death in Infront of Her Son

Rachel King was shot dead in a Dunkin’ drive-thru lane on April 11, 2023. She was with her son in a Dunkin’ drive-thru and was shot multiple times in Cheltenham Township.

Zakkee Steven Alhakim and Julie Jean of Elkins Park are charged with first-degree murder. Alhakim and Jean planned and plotted to murder King, the girlfriend of William Hayes.

Jean and Hayes had an affair, and after Hayes broke it off, Jean continued to harass both King and Hayes. On the day of the murder, Alhakim parked a Mercury Sable a short distance away, then walked to the driver’s side of King’s Ford Edge and shot her.

Rachel’s son was in the back seat but was not injured. As said earlier, both of them have been charged, and King’s parents spoke briefly and thanked law enforcement officials for their commitment to solving the case.

Where Are Rachel King Murderers Now?

Julie Jean of Elkins Park and Zakkee Alhakim of Philadelphia are facing murder charges in the death of Rachel King. 

Alhakim is also suspected of April 7, 2023, murder on the 5100 block of North Broad Street in Philadelphia.

In that case, Police released photos of a Mercury Sable, which Montgomery County authorities say was the exact vehicle witnessed on surveillance tape in the Dunkin parking lot.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said both are behind bars. Jean was indicted in Montgomery County and was denied bond.
